About Us

Teaching Japanese
with Heart & Purpose

Founded in 2011 in the vibrant city of Sapporo, we began with a simple belief: learning Japanese should be as enriching as it is effective. Over 15 years, we have refined a methodology that combines rigorous linguistic training with deep cultural immersion.

Our Story

What started as a small classroom with five students and two passionate instructors has grown into one of Hokkaido's most respected language institutions. Our founder, a former university professor of Japanese linguistics, recognized that traditional classroom methods were leaving international students unable to truly communicate in real-world situations.

We built our curriculum around the principle of "contextual fluency" — learning language not in isolation, but embedded in the cultural situations where it naturally occurs. When you learn to say "itadakimasu" here, you learn it while sharing a meal; when you practice keigo, it's in a simulated business setting that mirrors real Japanese workplaces.

Today, with 45 native instructors and students from over 60 countries, we remain committed to that founding vision: every student deserves a learning experience that is personal, practical, and genuinely transformative.

Our Methodology

1
Contextual Immersion

Every lesson is anchored in real-life scenarios. Grammar and vocabulary are taught through practical situations you will actually encounter in Japan.

2
Active Communication

At least 60% of class time is spent on speaking and listening. We use role-plays, debates, presentations, and spontaneous conversation exercises.

3
Cultural Integration

Language and culture are inseparable. Weekly cultural activities, city explorations, and community events supplement classroom learning.

4
Personalized Progress

Regular assessments and individual feedback ensure your learning path adapts to your strengths, weaknesses, and personal goals.
